Im tardy in writing about an experience I had at the very end of our family trip last week. My apologies for the length of this but I hope you agree with me that its worthy & provides you with a smile. We were flying from San Fran to Chicago and the flight was diverted to Milwaukee due to a thunderstorm. After a brief stop & taking on some fuel we got to Chicago about 90 minutes late. Fortunately all flights were diverted so our connection was still there albeit we had to hightail it across 2 gates to get there. Once seated in the last row and after catching my breath they announce that there are 10 more passengers to board on another connector. One of those passengers sits next to me, & I find out that he & his wife had a very nice trip to Utah, sightseeing & visiting family. Towards the end of the flight shortly before getting to Bradley this gentleman sneezed so I offered him a tissue. He said thank you but no thank you. As the plane descended a woman four rows up was shouting to a friend another six rows forward for a piece of gum as her ears were hurting a lot. I gave a piece of gum I had to my nephew who was sitting right behind her to pass on to her. After finally exiting the plane as the last row I was greeted again by my seat mate & his wife. He got right in my face and said Mike, I want you to think of this as a biblical prophecy. When you offered me a tissue & that stranger a piece of gum, that was very kind of you. Please accept this & I hope you might find a way to pass this prophecy of thanks when you see something in the future. He handed me a $100 bill, that I tried to refuse. He would not take it back. Gave me a smile, a sense of good faith in humanity & a very strong desire to seek out that person I can pay it forward to.
