Im thankful tonight because I know some of the most remarkable people--Those with the depth of character to sustain not just themselves, but others in hard times, and those with humor to buoy us to the light. I am grateful for those people in my life with the intelligence to synthesize the rubble and plan for their own future while having the fortitude to rebuild the road for everyone who may follow. And my thanks for those who remain optimistic and capable of pointing out possibility when it appears there is none, and for the pragmatists who keep me grounded. For each of you, and the others who laugh often, who care deeply, who give generously, and love without hesitation, thank you. Thank you.
