Im thinking about putting together a parent-to-child dictionary, - TopicsExpress

Im thinking about putting together a parent-to-child dictionary, though Im sure someone somewhere already has... because apparently English doesnt transcend age. Here are a few examples from just the past week: Parent says: Please wash up. Child translation: Squirt minimal amount of hand sanitizer in palm, wipe on pants. Parent says: OK, lets get ready for bed. Child translation: The couch is officially a trampoline for the next 10 minutes, game on. Parent says: Please stop. Child translation: Does not translate to children, must be replaced with Can you just knock it off or Cut it out! Parent says: Enough with the potty talk please. Child translation: The contest to see how many times you can say poop has begun. Parent says: No snacks after dinner, so eat whats on your plate. Child translation: Arrange food on plate to make it appear consumption has taken place, ask for snack in 45 minutes. ...maybe its just me
