Im trying to get my professor to consider re-marking my participation mark for his class. I got a final mark of 79 on Rosi. However, I do think my participation marks will make a difference to my final grades if he changes it; it might even bump up my grade on Rosi to an 80 (which for me, a 2.7 and a 3.0 GPA for one course can really help). He gave me 6.5/10 when Ive only missed one class. My other friend who also only missed one class got a higher mark than me (and she doesnt even participate or asks/answers questions in class)...so I feel that its a bit unfair. Furthermore, most of our grades in class comes from essays and ive always gotten above/or 80. So, from what I see, the participation marks have really affected it. Ive already sent him an e-mail but he has the tendency not to respond (from what ive noticed being in his class before). Is there still a possibility that if I see him during office hours next year, he would still be able to change my grades on Rosi? Are there any other alternatives I can try? Im pretty frustrated because ive been trying to contact him. Should I try the T.A? Im pretty sure the person I go to is my prof, but hes not replying me. Any ideas? Thanks!
