Im trying to understand why there is so much misinformation, fear tactics and dirty politics that are being used in the No on S camp. In the video below at 4min 57 seconds Sheriff Keith Royal says, the majority of homicides that have occurred in Nevada County in the past five years have all been directly related to marijuana. At 5 minutes 17 seconds Jim Hemig, the publisher of The Union asks if Sheriff Royal knows specifically how many homicides have occurred and Royal answers 6 out of 10 homicides have been related to marijuana. 60% barely qualifies as the majority. In todays paper about the honey oil bust that happened, theunion/news/13253124-113/marijuana-honey-oil-county, the Sheriff is very good to say they had Medical cards and were interstate trafficking, etc. I bet they did. And yet what they are doing is illegal. With the current ordinance, with Measure S and with Prop 215. Why keep talking about all these large illegal grows in conversations about Measure S. They are illegal. Period. Lets stick with the topic at hand. I have heard about Yes on S signs being taken down and people threatening business owners to not shop in their stores if they support S. Today I ran into a No on S person at the copy store. We were each printing up flyers. She was very angry at everyone that grew that dirty, smelly weed and that none of them have any respect for anybody. Measure S will allow for terracing she said to me aggressively and people wont be made to put up fences around their crops and so what does that mean for all the deer and other animals that are going to eat their cash crops she added. I was very polite and tried to say that we should not try to generalize everyone into one category and she said that all marijuana growers are the same. As I drove away she watched me through the glass and wrote something down. Most likely my license plate number. Dirty tactics, anger, misinformation and straight up lying. Why people? Measure S is very clear. Nothing but education coming from the Yes on S camp. Its not about medicine the S camp is touting. OK. When did a group of concerned citizens, most of which just seem to be offended by smell, become the deciding factor over State law that gives Doctors the right to recommend Cannabis as medicine be invalid? Dont be offended if I dont respond to people comments... I just want people to know whats happening and what my experiences are if for some reason you all of sudden see my name in the paper because of some angry person that reported my license plate to what seems to be a very corrupt local law enforcement agency.
