Im very sorry for the lack of updates today. It was a bad day. I was awoken from sleep around 3am with chest pain and diaphoresis (sweating). This time I called EMS. I was happy to see a great crew who came and took me back to Our Lady of Lourdes. Once again I was told my EKG and blood enzymes were showing a heart attack but they were more convinced that it is due to spasms in coronary blood vessels. But I then sat in the ER for 6 hours. Finally I was taken to another catheterization just to be sure there was no blockage. This time they went in through my wrist. They said they would put in a Stent even for the borderline blockage. Fortunately they found none. I was moved to recovery and sat for another 6 hrs. I have a side problem of an excruciating headache. Its been constant. So they agreed to percocet. Helped me relax but did not help the headache much. Due to all the IVs, caths, and blood thinners, I look like I was in a fight. Bruises and swelling all over. So Im finally in a room in PCU. I got a CT scan of head and chest. I have a roommate this time who is always hollering for the nurses for something. No prognosis yet on discharge. Had a problem holding down food but I think that was from percocet. Some improvement there. Testing new meds and monitoring. I will advise as Im able.
