Im watching ROOM 237 on Netflix. Its a documentary about the multitude of theories concerning what Stanley Kubrick did and did not layer into The Shining. Let me tell you. some of these people are nucking futz. Kubrick worked very slowly to be sure, but it would have taken him a hundred years working 18 hours a day, seven days a week to put all these things into the film. My personal favorite is one (nutbars) conviction that the entire film was Kubricks confession to his wife that he had been paid by the government to fake the moon landing. Yeah....instead of just, you know...rolling over in bed and telling her, he made an entire film as a confession to her that he had faked the moon landing for the government. He bends himself and the film into knots to make his point, but he gets there, in his own mind anyway. As crazy as you think people are, its almost scary to realize that some of them are way crazier than that.
