Im working through EFT Master Practitioner student assignment emails tonight, and one student is up to the unit on BELIEFS. Our beliefs are the rules we are running our life to. The mental limits in place for us and who we are. The crazy thing is that they are way more flexible than we realised. When we were much younger it was easy for us to take on other peoples ideas of how things were for us as truth. We were just learning and if our grandparent told us wed probably never be any good at saving money, it might just stick (and it does, this is a real example!). We can do so much if we just notice what rules were running our life to, and get curious on what else might be possible. Listening to the words we regularly use is a good start. What labels do we give ourselves? (Im shy, Im clumsy, Im a terrible mother) What restrictions do we apply? (I dont have enough time/money/support/help/confidence/strength/magic beans, No one listens to me, I never get a break) What do we tell our body that it can and cant do? (Im not the healthiest of people, Ill always be overweight, Im not very strong, My immune system fails me every Winter) I wonder what you might notice for yourself? Maybe something jumps out already. :) x
