Im yet to know the essence of the ongoing National Conference in Nigeria. It seems to be too quiet in there. Are they still rehearsing what to say or they have called it quit? I had so much expectation as regards the National Conference but it seems I assumed quite hurriedly that there was going to be a National Conference in the true sense of Nationality. People who actively contributed to the poor and downtrodden state of Nigeria are assembled together, paid millions of Naira as monthly take home, paid sitting allowances, fed sumptous meals and housed in palace like buildings just to repair Nigeria they spoilt and will probably keep spoiling until they are no more. I would have squarely blamed President Goodluck Jonathan led Federal Government for such evil nominations but the Federal Govt only apointed a minute number of the delegates. Majority of the delegates where outside the Federal Government slot so I blame all the institutions who nominated those inhumane people. Well, you cant nominate your opponent to serve your interest, you must nominate your loyalist and fellow comrade to secure your interests. The youths are non-existent in this country if the average age in the Conference is around 57 years or so. They send us to NYSC camps to waste away under the sun and in the rain. They put us in low class prison homes and term in patriotism. They teach and advise young graduates to learn tailoring, bread making, bead making, egg selling, house painting, DSTV installation and many other funny and annoying things just to make us know we the youths have no future as long as they the rulers are alive. They call it skill acquisition as though the Colleges, Universities, Polytechnics, monotechnics and various other tertiary institutions we attended didnt teach us any skill. They mean to tell we young graduates that we got no relevant skill as long as their Nigeria is concerned. I and a few others are very sad and annoyed over this entity called Nigeria. They take us to camp, put soldiers over us, authorize Man O War to drill graduates so as to beat our spirit down and make us worthless. They want us to be zombies who are too afraid to talk. They put sanctions over us and threaten us with service elongation if we dare speak out. They allow our employers deny us our rights as contained in the bye laws yet they hold us to ransome if we speak out. They can as well put people like us in prison but they can never make us zombies. They break the laws that dont favor them but they punish us for pointing out their errors. They claim to be democrats and they with their loud and noisy mouths speak against military dictatorship as exemplified by General Sani Abacha yet they are worse. We dont need their monthly allowance, we never asked to be mobilized. Let them put the billions of naira they claim they spend on each NYSC Batch in infrastructuaral development and see if it will not profit us more than the so called patriotic call-up they force down our throat with threat not to allow any employer give us job without their certificate. If I may ask, where in Gods name is the so called jobs they threten to starve us of? Each they they produce cowards and intellectual vegetables but they cannot kill my breed. We produce in small scale but we produce immune breeds. Under the sun or in the rain yet they stay under the shades and allow us get sun dried. Who is fooling who? The Nigerian Youths are fooling themselves. You fight for PDP and APC yet u are so myopic to know that u are a means to an end. We wont look for trouble but we wont allow them trouble us anymore. Our numbers are more than theirs. Its just that our fears are more than theirs so we can do nothing in fear. Arise o compatriots and throw these terrorists away into the lake where they belong. Nigeria is ours and not just theirs. Youths lets obey the clarion call and it is to lift our Nation high and trample over our political and socio-economic enemies. Lets do it because we can.
