Imagine building a uni campus for 5,000 with no car parking spaces whatsoever! (they suggest students can rent in town! What the...?! I suppose most students will be from wealthy families???) Imagine being wheelchair bound and needing to get off a train and onto light rail or bus! Imagine hundreds more buses each week running along Beaumont Street! Imagine tourists arriving with luggage and struggling off trains and onto buses or trams! A rail line into the heart of the city is the envy of every city in the world especially as we move towards peak oil & growth in public transport.
