Imagine, if you will, a virus. A deadly virus. This virus is a failed attempt by a wealthy scientist to create a miracle drug which he can sell people to cure their every ailment and guarantee them a longer, better life. The thing is, the people dont see this miracle drug for what it really is. A virus. Its selling like mad, though. Young and old, hardy and frail, people are buying into this promise of a great life. Business is booming. The drug is now being exported all over the world. People see the smiling face of the scientist and trust his promise of a carefree life. And thats when it hits. The strong are made weak. The weak are made comatose. The world has bought into this convenient miracle cure, and in doing so, it has made itself even more vulnerable to pain and sickness. Why am I still sick? Why are people still dying? The world has fallen victim to false hope in a bottle of poison, but the scientist is wealthier than ever. Well, my friends, this virus is real. And its name is the Prosperity Gospel.
