Imagine that you were deaf. You could hear nothing which would be - TopicsExpress

Imagine that you were deaf. You could hear nothing which would be especially difficult to deal with because you could not hear the words and thoughts of your loved ones. Our greatest loved One is God Himself. The Bible teaches that those who are not Christians and refuse to listen to His Words have ears but can not hear and eyes but can not see. How do we bring the message of Gods love and forgiveness to them? Do we beat them over the head with a Bible? Never works, not once! Do we berate them? Bad choice. Do we shake them and scream at them? This will only drive them further away. The most effective way to have their senses restored to them is to pray for them and love them. You are incapable of bringing them to their senses and to their knees in repentance for their sins. Only God can do this. Our part is to be patient, gentle, and truthful with them while keeping our walk with God as pure as possible. We are commanded to be bold with our faith, which is defined as never fearing the outcome of our efforts to reaching the lost souls all around us. Boldness should never be mistaken for religious arrogance or pride. If you have a spiritually deaf family member who still does not get it, the Bible tells us to never give up hoping they will come around to seeing things Gods way. Once they reject God over and over again, prayer is usually the last resort. Never stop loving them by praying for them.
