Imagine what it would be like to be denied the chance to lead a happy, meaningful life with the person you love, or if the government treated you and your spouse like legal strangers instead of family. Its not about who raises the happiest, healthiest children - we can all do it well, we can all make mistakes. Rather, its about protecting childrens legal and family security; its about eliminating complications regarding next of kin; its about not enshrining discrimination; its about the basic human right to fall in love and build a life with someone, without being told that only certain special people get that privilege ....
