Imam Al-Sadiq (pbuh) said: Those who cried excessively are five: Adam, Yaaqoub, Youssof, Fatima Bint Mohammad prayers of Allah be upon them, Ali bin Al-Hussein prayers of Allah be upon him. As for Adam, he cried over the heaven until his cheeks looks like valleys As for Yaaqou, he cried over his son Youssof until he became blind As for Youssof, he cried over Yaaqoub until the prisoners with him were harassed from him and they said to him to cry only at the morning or only at the night, so he do what they said. As for Fatima (pbuh) , she cried over RasoulAllah (PBUHP) until the people of the Madina (the city of RasoulAllah) were harassed from her and told her: you are harassing us by your cry. So she used to went to the Cemetery of the martyrs and cried their. And as for Ali Bin Al-Hussein (pbuh), he cried over his father twenty years or forty years and every time food was placed in front of him, he cried until his servant says to him: My I be sacrificed for you, O son of the Messenger of Allah! I fear that you might perish! He says: I complain my sorrow and grief to Allah and I know what you do not know.
