Immanuel Kant believed that we have no direct experiences. Rather, - TopicsExpress

Immanuel Kant believed that we have no direct experiences. Rather, they are constructed in our minds subsequent to sensory input. It does seem that all our experiences are constructed by the brain. Considering this point and that the brain must prioritise what we are aware of at any given moment, I could agree. The output, or our conscious awareness, has to emerge from somewhere, and most likely it is a complex and varied network of inter-related neurons that express themselves via the physical body. The body is the stage for our mind to play out the thoughts and feelings that emerge.
