Immediate impressions of Captain America: The Winter Soldier - its one of Marvels strongest films to date. Id rank it as top 3 with Iron Man and Avengers with good characterization and intriguing narrative. I deeply enjoyed seeing Robert Redford in his role, the man still has it; Anthony Mackie was fantastic as Sam Wilson/The Falcon, who I felt was treated as Caps partner and equal, not subordinate (cant wait to see more of him in the eventual Captain America 3); and I really enjoyed how the story evoked the feel of 70s espionage movies. And a hilarious fan cameo and some Marvel-verse character name checks (no spoilers!). Question though: Is Alan Dale just everyones go-to actor for the old powerful guy in charge who *everyone* hates because hes a jerk?
