Immediate need for a Splunk Developer in the Phoenix/AZ area Contract: 6-24 month contract Location: Phoenix, AZ US Citizen, Green Card holders and all those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. We are unable to Sponsor H-1 Visas at this time. *Must be available for in person interview.* Essential Responsibilities: You will be responsible for aiding in the design, architecture and implementation of software dashboards to track large volumes of data in the most efficient way possible. The software will be running inside Splunk. The ideal candidate is proficient in C++ with skills in Windows and Linux (Non-GUI) programming including application level network programming, including the following: Design and implementation of systems management agent software Design and implementation of data collection methodologies that will be needed to collect systems management data from various sources such as the operating system, the network, and network devices Business Requirements: Outstanding interpersonal, analytical and communication skills (written and verbal) Demonstrates the ability to take significant responsibility and shows skill in the management and change Can handle contacts of all types, at all levels. Demonstrates a rational and organized approach to the tasks undertaken and an awareness of the need to achieve quality Good interpersonal and presentation skills A comprehensive approach to documentation and procedural development Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office product suite Maintenance of existing software products as problems are found in Quality Assurance and in the field Writing software to test agent based solutions proving scalability and fault tolerance Position Requisites: Two or more years of C++ experience in a Windows and UNIX or Linux environment on software product or hosted service offerings (commercial or open source) Multi-threaded programming expertise TCP/IP programming experience Strong debugging skills Strong SQL database skills Experience with one or more of the following: COM, SQLite, ADO, Visual Studio or Eclipse, Standard Template Library, /Proc File System, Linux/Android, OSX/iOS Solid understanding of the Internet Protocols (especially TCP & UDP) and IP-based routing Experience developing security solutions Knowledge of Windows Management Interface (WMI) and Performance Data Helper (PDH) APIs Experience writing either Windows Services or Linux Daemon NICE TO HAVE’s - Certifications and Technologies: Splunk Certification (Knowledge Manager, Administrator, Architect, etc.) Knowledge of Hadoop or Puppet Please send your resume in MS WORD to Leilua Anesi, Sr. Technical Recruiter at (linkedin/in/anesil/) for immediate consideration!
