Different Countries; Different Responses When residing in many of their home countries, the current illegal immigrant in the US easily would become accustomed to unenforced laws. The laws when enacted may have been very good and may have been the law of the land. The rule of law is not practiced at all times in parts of all countries. In such a scenario in which good people wind up dead or impoverished, the people learn to survive, despite the law. When they come to the US, legally or illegally, they bring their survival tools with them. Sometimes the tools help. Sometimes, they do not help. In their home countries, they have already learned how to deal with corruption and crime—even murder. They have learned that in any country they can avoid getting the short end of the rope. When they come to America, for them, the same rules apply. They do expect things to be better but they are suspicious because nothing is ever as good as reported. Understandably, they bring these negative and suspicious attitudes with them. Until proven otherwise, they fear that law enforcement in the US will also be passive and uncaring. Perhaps US officials will also be on the take as in their home countries. Most have been told from those who went before them that it would not be quite as bad as from whence they came. But, there is always room in a new land for honest skepticism. There is a story on the Internet about how these attitudes affect the ability of illegal workers to blend in with how things naturally happen in the US. For example, in the US not everybody receives pay weekly or daily or semimonthly or monthly. Within just the past few years, there is a sad story of an illegal foreign national working on a job site. He became very angry because he was not paid by the end of the work day. Prior to the current job in the US, he had been accustomed to work as a “day laborer.” In this capacity, he was always paid when the work day was done. More reputable US contractors operate on a pay period basis. He did not know this. So, when a more reputable contractor put him to work and at the end of the day, he thanked him for his work, asked him to come in the next day, and informed him that payroll would cut him a check at the end of the pay period, the illegal became enraged. From his own experience, he thought he was being cheated. So, as might have been the solution in his home country, he killed the contractor so that such treatment would never happen to him again and never again to any other “sucker.” Culture makes a difference. Another story—this one of a Mexican immigrant, shows how an illegal killed a young woman because she was driving a car that had the same look as the vehicle of a rival gang member. Knowing he had made a mistake in the killing, rather than awaiting justice, the illegal alien escaped back to Mexico and was not sent back for trial because Mexican authorities rightfully feared that he would be executed in America for his heinous crime. In another story, an illegal alien was the driver of a vehicle with stolen plates. He was driving without a license or insurance, which is the norm, when he hit and killed a young bride. He did not mean it but it happened. So, based on the theory of fight or flight, the illegal alien took off and attempted to run, knowing that if he could remove himself from the scene of the accident, he would never be found. He was successful. Stories like this enrage Americans close to the scene such a in Arizona but they seldom are carried by this corrupt press. Thus, other Americans never really get the full picture and the complete set of facts. US laws favor Americans but the enforcement by the Obama Administration favors illegal aliens much more than American citizens. It is so skewed that our hospitals and medical clinics have become overrun by people who come to this country without insurance or any means of paying for anything, including vital medical treatment. Yet, our Congress has passed laws that anybody from any country may show up at any emergency room attached to a hospital that takes Medicare, for one reason or another, and they must be treated. No hospital ER can demand payment or discuss their immigration status prior to treatment. The impact of course is that a number of hospitals in the southwest have been forced to go out of business and insurance rates keep going up. Nothing is free. Hospitals have to charge more next time when you or a member of your family must go in for assistance, if you can get through the huge crowd of illegals and drug addicts who often are in line first. It may not be easy being an illegal foreign national in the United States. It is also not easy being an American living with the effects of illegal migration. Americans have been very patient with their government regarding the effects on the home life as a result of illegal foreign nationals ruining America because their allegiances are with other countries. Remember the words of TR Roosevelt. Though they like to be known as guests; they have not been invited. Worse than that, guests do not behave as illegal foreign nationals behave when residing in the US. It would be fair indeed to lift the guest status from these invaders once and for all and eliminate the threats of the large list of infractions that you will discover in the Crime chapter. Many problems will come in the near future if this major invasion is not stopped immediately. Legalizing all according to the gang of eight tyrants, and giving them citizenship status will only hurt Americans. It will not help America and it will not help the foreign nationals. When ICE finds border jumpers, they are supposed to be processed and deported. The next time caught, it is a felony but that doesn’t seem to matter anyway. Lots of what illegal aliens do in the course of their flights from torment are felonies, regardless of how our government now chooses to classify them. What’s good for the goose is not necessarily good for the gander. Americans have observed that US citizens are locked up for the type of everyday crimes (ID-theft, etc.) regularly committed by illegal foreign nationals but this Is not so for foreigners. In the US, our top guy, Barack Obama tells the employees in the US government who work for him that they do not have to care about the feelings of American citizens since nobody is monitoring such a statistic. However, they must care what the illegals and their progressive supporters think or Mr. Obama will not be pleased. The President is not concerned about illegals committing infractions yet he will chase down a guy like Mr. Snowden who tattled on the President for spying on the people. Americans know that the first order of business for the illegal foreign national, upon finding some sanctuary after this tough journey, is naturally to get an American job. How they find their ways to Hawaii and Alaska and Rhode Island are puzzlements indeed, but they do. To acquire the primary legal status offered under the gang of eight tyrants’ bill, illegal immigrants would only have to undergo a simple background check. But the bill would still grant legal status to illegal immigrants with a significant amount of criminality on their rap sheet. For example, crimes like ID theft and vandalism would not be considered serious enough to deny a person status, despite the fact that such crimes create real victims, and despite the fact that Americans do time for those crimes. Specifically, two misdemeanors would not result in legal status being denied and under the bill multiple misdemeanors could be counted as “one” misdemeanor, provided they occur on the same day. The deal is constructed that unless you have a picture of a bad guy with a gun, he is into the system with no issues. The Obama way is foreigners first! Any questions? Additionally, any problematic history that an illegal immigrant might have had in his home country does not matter. Some suggest that in a sense, our public safety would depend on the bookkeeping of police departments in the alien’s homeland to assure that we are safe from the potential perpetrator. When checking backgrounds overseas, there are many things that Americans consider criminal that are not considered criminal overseas. Ironically, though the IRS, the NSA, and perhaps even the Benghazi commission could conduct intrusive searches on American citizens. However, no such permission is granted for illegal aliens. Our government’s capacity to conduct background checks on millions of illegal immigrants is very questionable. Nobody in the administration is willing to give the edge to regular Americans, and we know that nobody is looking for real terrorists or real illegal foreign nationals or they would have prevented the marathon disaster. Let me repeat the last part for effect. If the analysts and checkers in the government were so good, they either would have stopped the Boston Marathon bombers or they would have known who they were within an instant. How can the IRS, the FBI, and others such as the NSA not know who the bad guys are unless they are trying harder to figure out how Obama’s people can win the next election, and which nasty conservative named Brian Kelly is getting in their way? Don’t you think that the recent Boston Marathon bombing illustrates the government’s inability to carefully vet backgrounds, even with the plethora of information they collect. I bet if somebody unknown were running against Obama, the culprit would have been assassinated. Maybe not; but we are getting close to that point. We all know that the FBI interviewed at least one of the terrorists, his family members, and his neighbors, in addition to analyzing his Internet usage but they came up empty. If it were an American, would the search have been empty? If it were a conservative, would more than a thousand others have been implicated? Do you trust your government? The founders suggested we never do. I like that advice. They all lived in the Northeast. The original patriots never would have let Boston or the rest of New England go without being able to snag the bad guys. Boston would have been spared its tragedy some think, if the Tsarnaev brothers were planning to run for President v Obama or were plotting to ruin Obama’s reputation or ruin his chances of filling up Congress with Democrats in 2014. Killing a few Bostonians in Boston on a main street was no more important to Obama or the FBI than four Americans being killed in Benghazi. But, if there were major political capital at stake it would have been different. Obama would have risen to the occasion and the corrupt press would not have had to lie for him. As hard as it is to believe in the Boston incident, the FBI apparently found nothing that would have raised a red flag. Despite the fact that DHS estimates there are many problematic foreign-born people living in the United States, the millions of illegal aliens applying for the gang of eight tyrants’ amnesty will not have nearly as vigorous of a background check as the Boston bombers had. In other words, we can expect that some really bad people will receive legal status through this bad legislation. As written, the bill permits known gang members to become U.S. citizens if they simply “renounce” their gang affiliation. Sometimes we forget that Muslims are instructed by their religion that it is OK to lie to Americans, even their “friends,” for the greater good. Renouncing gang affiliation should be a pretty easy task for devoted jihadists. Senator Rubio claims that illegal aliens applying for the amnesty would have to pay a fee, but there are waivers and no specificity. Will anybody really pay a dime? The bill simply notes that illegal aliens aged 16 and older who want legal status will have to pay a fee “in an amount determined by [DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano]“. While it is unclear how much the fee would be, the bill says it should be enough to cover processing the applications. I would expect it will not be much more than a thin dime. Janet Napolitano is also given the right under the bill to limit any fees or to exempt “classes of individuals” altogether. That is an awful broad amount of authority granted by Congress to “Big Sis” in this bill. I do not trust the government so I suspect this fee would be waived for just about every amnesty applicant. Go ahead, call me a cynic. Rubio also insists there will be a fine and he says a fine is different from a fee. A fine is a punishment for breaking a law. The fine is set at $500 for the initial legal status, which turns the illegal foreign nationals into legal residents; grants them work permits, driver’s licenses, Social Security accounts, and many other benefits that they have never been eligible to receive before. It is a big bonanza for the interlopers. Don’t expect many complaints from people you have never seen. Tagged as: amnesty, brian kelly, No Amnesty! No Way!
