Impressed and Grateful! I saw first hand how quickly two fires were knocked down, one required a great deal of heroism to rescue two senior citizens from the inferno on Bennett Street in Bridgeport. Just as I thought the night was over a call comes over for a masked robber in Walgreens on Villa Avenue in Fairfield. Im on Jennings Road and thought Id be the second car on scene. I was the fifth car as police had the scene surrounded and blocked with the suspect in cuffs. As we head into Thanksgiving, be thankful for the awesome teams of first responders our towns and cities have put together. Let us also remember the heroism they display when called upon. Lets not give them a hard time on their contracts for a modest cost of living wage when the time comes. Like Ive always said When you see what they do on a daily basis you will be amazed. Let us be thankful this Thanksgiving we have them on duty as well as the health professionals heck even the prison guards that work to keep us safe each holiday!
