Impromptu executive decision: There will be a just for fun fox hunt on site during Field Day. (Saturday - exact time not yet determined. Youll find out Saturday.) The transmitter will be hidden SOMEWHERE in the surrounding Field Day site area. The FIRST person to find it and flip the found toggle switch will have their choice of either their next years club dues (2015), or their next VE test session for either themselves or a family member (one person) paid for by me. If the FIRST person to find the fox is not a club member, they will have the option of either having a years free membership or the same single person VE test session paid for. In other words, $15 buckaroos. So, this will cover either: 1) - One VE test session 2) - One year single person club membership with enough left for a burger 3) - One year family club membership Extremely loose rules: Search radios: HTs only. 30 minutes to find the fox. Frequency: 147.520 simplex. Hints: Directional antennas and attenuators are a plus. In lieu of that hints that might help: Removing the antenna from the HT Shielding the HT with your body Shielding the HT with tin foil Tuning slightly off frequency A sneaky mindset Some old fashioned good luck So, good luck!
