I make mistakes, a lot of mistakes! I take pride in knowing I’m not overly done by perfection, no one is perfect after all. So to give you all of me, you may see my first edition mistakes at times, and I am glad to show you them to you for you to laugh, like I do when I read the mistakes. But I still don’t want you, my readers, to feel under appreciated. I left the errors in Heaven irresponsibly and I give my most sincere apology. So to make up for it, I am releasing the high class of my writing—story telling—in Heaven Rebirth, Oasis, and Valerie. I’ve made it my absolute focus to create three epic tales that go beyond fantasy, romance, action, paranormal and drama. To know these books and so many of my other books to come, is to know me—your author. I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoy writing them. So here I am… Prologue Report To agent Alisa Palmer— We welcome you to the United States Supernatural Investigative Force in Los Angeles. You are the youngest agent to step foot in this dark field, being twenty one. Your connection to the entity you call Malevolent is the reason we recruited you so quickly. We heard about what you were able to do during the time you attended Sulfur University. The number of demons and evil spirits you exorcised, as well as the supernatural beings you killed out on field assignments astonished us. We’ve already chosen your first assignment which will require the upmost confidence. More than likely you have already heard of the Oasis, none have ever returned from this perilous place. I’m hoping you’ll bring different results with your, unique ability. As you know it is the year 2070, in 2025 paranormal and supernatural beings began revealing themselves. Some were pleasant, while others were…not so much. All across the globe the leading governments began banning together to create an agency to investigate and kill any paranormal entities that threaten civilization. While some entities live peacefully alongside man—vampires, werewolves, spirits and that’s just to name a few. There is however, a more oppressing case. It’s more mysterious than any other, hence your assignment. Allow me to give you a brief summary of what happened at the manor. It’s was three fifteen a.m. as the moon shined through the forest trees on the Oasis Manor. That night, it was more eerie than it had ever been because that night darkness crept into the mansion. The evil was followed by a most ominous cloud of dark mist. The evil entered through an open window of the master bedroom. It slithered across the floor causing the sleeping couple to have an uneasy feeling. The evil watched them from the shadows of the room making them burst into a cold sweat. It debated on which one it would devour and make its host, leaving the couple stuck in a dead sleep. They tossed and turned as the evil entity crept upon the twenty seven year old male. His dreams became more vivid nightmares and his body heat rose to a burning temperature. He was finally over taken by the entity and with the entity in possession of his body, he sat up slowly. The entity snapped the man’s neck twisting his head backward killing him. The entity then turned his head back around praising his new body. He looked around the room fueled with evil ambition. The wife silently watched hoping the demonic appearing entity wouldn’t notice, hoping and praying to god she would live, because their five year old son peered in the opening of their door quietly. The entity finally looked over at the wife and she closed her eyes but it was too late—he noticed. He leaned over her sniffing her body up and down as if she was a finely laid out meal. She closed her eyes tighter clinching the bed sheets. He climbed out of the bed to get a feel of his new body, moving his fingers and cracking his neck. The wife jumped up and dashed for the window but the entity appeared in front of her lifting her up off the floor with one hand by her throat. He pulled her close glaring in her eyes with his black eyes. She struggled to get away, kicking and scratching. She knew her son watched in silence so she squealed out— “Nick, run…” The instant she spoke the entity ripped her throat out. The boy took off quickly, as the entity appeared at the door opening it. The boy ran out the back door into the Oasis forest. The entity finally noticed me watching with my psychic ability and cut the tie I had to him and the boy. That was the last thing I was ever able to track in Oasis and now the area has been shrouded in secrecy. All agents that have been sent there have never returned and that happened when I was made chief of LSNP—Los Angeles Supernatural Police—in the year 2052. I was only fifteen but like you I have a gift, I know what you’re thinking—that happened eighteen years ago I should have retired, but no, I was also cursed that night and made never to age again. Also my eyes were burned out and now I only see mentally with my psychic ability. So hopefully you can end my curse and solve the Oasis mystery. You’ll be leaving in a few days. I know you requested time off for your best friend’s wedding, so right after that I expect you to be leaving and again—welcome! Chief Elliot Duncan… Rehearsal Dinner “Jake, oh my god tonight is going so well,” my best friend Janice said to her fiancé. “I’m glad you’re happy, you were so worried about everything being wrong. I see why Alisa said you’re a bridezilla.” “Oh hush, I am not.”=s It was her rehearsal dinner night and I sat to the left of Jake across from his best friend Luke. We were all seated in a man across from woman setting. The style switched on each side, to the left of me a man sat and across from him a woman sat and so on and so forth. She had over two-hundred people here and was very happy, you could tell by how her face radiated blissfully. All of her family and friends loved Jake including me; he was perfect for her. He’s the ideal guy to fit her ever so busy life style. She is a successful lawyer and he is a successful realtor. They had the perfect life, big house, nice cars, family, and friends. You should see the size of the mansion Jakes parents have here in Los Angeles where the rehearsal is. The mansion was three stories high. They called it the Ant Palace and the giant ballroom we were in was just amazing. I was just glad I could be a part of it because Janice was the only friend and family I have. I was zoned out thinking about her life. I didn’t even notice she had gotten up. She hugged me around my neck with her cheek on my face. “How’s my pretty light brown brunette doing? You’re awfully quiet.” I snapped out of my day dream. “I’m sorry Janice… It’s just you seem so happy and I’m happy for you two. I just wish there was more I could have done for you guys and… Is that… You’ve been drinking too much.” The smell of champagne emanated from her mouth strongly and she was very much intoxicated. I turned and looked at her. She had a lost smile on her face—joyful though. I had never seen her this way even when we went out and partied. “Jake, how could you let her get like this?” Her aunt Anne asked as she came up behind us. Jake shrugged, “It’s her rehearsal dinner and soon she’ll be married to the luckiest man alive, she deserves to have some fun.” Miss Anne grabbed her and they bumped into the table almost falling. All of us at the table stood up helping them. Miss Anne and I walked her to the bathroom because we knew she was about to puke. I let Miss Anne take care of her because I am not fond of spit-up. I walked out of the bathroom and sighed, I was leaning against the wall. My champagne color dress reeked of champagne and my short bobbed hair stuck to my face. I was getting sleepy and I still had to make a bride’s maid speech. I was so nervous because I was the shy type. I closed my hazel eyes trying to focus. “Malevolent I am so nervous I really don’t think I can do this. What if I choke in front of all these people?” Malevolent was the spirit that has lived in me since I was five, he’s always protected me and lets me use his powers as my own—at a price. I don’t like to talk about my connection to him too much. “You should never be nervous when speaking the human language,” he said to me. When we communicate he doesn’t use words exactly it’s more like a feeling. “You always say I should be a certain way but you’ve been with me long enough to know how we humans feel.” “…” I opened my eyes and Jake stood there staring at me.
