In 1972, our daughter Alison was born. A real people pleaser, even from the womb, Ali was considerate enough to delay her entry into this world until 4 days after the opening day of Rifle Deer Season. Always putting others first in life, she wanted her dad to have the most chance of success of bagging that buck. Her consideration of others continued to grow as she grew. Even though there were those who attempted to take advantage of such a wonderful, beautiful, caring person, Ali continues today to be exceptional .. an exceptional daughter, the eternal optimist, the peace maker, encouraging any and everyone, even as she could use a little encouragement in her own hour of need. Not completely perfect mind you, but if putting the car in the ditch at the old Flow her first day of getting her license, or ending up in Oscoda when she was supposed to be in West Branch that one night.. if thats all I got, if thats the best I can do, then Ali is pretty close to perfect. We dearly love all of our children.. equally. Each one means something special to us and has a special place in our hearts. But, Ali had the misfortunes of being the first born... the one that had to endure her parents lack of parenting skills. The OJT. That deserves some special consideration. So, today we continue to be thankful. Thankful that God entrusted us with such a wonderful person. Thankful for all your great friends in CA who still encourage and support you. Thankful for Michael, who provides and takes good care of you. And, thank you for blessing us by becoming our daughter on November 19th, 1972. Mom and Daddio
