In 1974 the FDA mandated that all donated blood is screened for hepatitis non-a and non-b (later known as Hepatitis C). However, cryoprecipitate and clotting factor were not sterilized of Hepatitis C (HCV) until 1992. For this week’s #TBT, we honor and recognize all those lives who were infected with HCV and HIV from contaminated blood products. Though HCV is the number one cause of death among the #hemophilia community today, there are promising treatments on the horizon. Join us tonight at 8PM EDT for a webinar to learn about these possible new advocacy and therapy choices: https://www2.gotomeeting/register/198845554
