In 1978, I was given up by my mother and placed in an orphanage as a ward of the state in Mass. I felt sad, alone, confused, numb, scared, disorientated, and mostly worthless, abandoned and unwanted all at the same time. I cant explain how important, encouraging, and reassuring it became to me to hear this song playing on the radio every morning for the first few weeks I was in the orphanage...more interestingly, I cant imagine any radio station playing this great song at approximately the same time every morning for what I remember as several weeks. You can think what you want but to me...then and now...I believe God used this song to reach me and encourage me. To let me know that even in that dark and lonely time, He was with me and would never leave me. I never heard the lyrics, with a little luck....
