In 1978, solar records was born by the owner and producer Dick Griffiths. Their first recording artist was the The Dynasty. This band were the brain behind most of the other solar recording artists, such as: The Whispers, Shalamar, Midnight Stars, Deele, Loose Ends, Lakeside, Courtage, etc. They wrote most of their songs, they performed and produced all these artists with the help of William Shelby, Kevin Spencer and Leon Silver 111.
