In 1995, 20 years after the original Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom, a steam punk/Victorian version surfaced at Disneyland Paris. De la Terre à la Lune was based on the works of Jules Verne. It included innovative machines to launch you into space, encounter yourself facing meteorites, and culminating with the view of the Moon and Jules Verne exploring it. The music, composed by Steve Bramson is a beautiful score that built the illusion to such romanticized view of space. Sadly, this version of Space Mountain closed in 2005, but the music was re-scored in Hollywood in Vienna, and it is a beauty.
