In 2 days time I will be at the Alexandrina Council Chambers in the main street of Goolwa opening the doors to the biggest gig I have organised It kicks off at 12 noon with a workshop, How To Write & Perform Performance Poetry run by Kami McInnes & Royce Kurmelovs $5 waged & $4 concession & then the FREE main event with 3 Feature Poets, Michelle Murray, John Brydon & Nigel Ford & an open mic session will kick off at 2.30 pm About 3.30 pm the 1st ever ~~~ Goolwa Poetry Cup ~~~ will start $500 in Prize Money, $300 1st, $150 2nd & $50 3rd with a perpetual trophy to be displayed in the trophy cabinet at Alexandrina Council Chambers with each years winners name on it Who wants to have their name on this cup in the inaugural year? Gotta be in it to win it :-) Come on down to compete in the poetry slam or get up at the open mic & share your poetry or just kick back & enjoy the words of others This is looking like being a fantastic spoken word event & definitely the biggest since the Australian Poetry Festival event 3 1/2 years ago!
