In 2007, Dr. Jerry Lambert, then the head of the IBOE for the Church of the Nazarene facilitated a Vision Team that traveled to Swaziland to assess the need and the response to the HIV/AIDS crisis in Swaziland. This action inspired the work of NCMI and Bethany First Church of the Nazarene and many others to mobilize a response that has led to the creation of SANU and a recognition that Raleigh Fitkin Memorial Hospital has been recognized as the most improved hospital in Africa. His quiet leadership on this project has for the most part been unrecognized until now. Another example that leadership is about getting the job done. Jerry is a leader.
