In 2009, I decided MY LIFE WOULD NOT BE A SECRET. Secrets imply that there is something wrong with the situation, the person, or the action. So, I publicly talk about topics that make my mother cringe, people unfriend me, and others question my sanity to live my life out loud. Let me just say this--you dont get to do a series on OWN that opens the most private parts of your life to the world then go back into a closet. Once you ring that bell, you cant unring it -- nor do I want to. I love who I am. I am proud of who my children are. We will not hide. We will not be silent. We will not apologize. We simply will not and can not because there is too much at stake.
