In 2009 I put a sign up sheet at Southside Dojo for students who wanted fight at our upcoming smoker. Some guy named Ryan Clark signed up. I remember asking who is that? Although he had been in the gym for close to 8 months I didnt know his name. I knew him only as....Robot. He won his first fight, and since then we have been all over the country to fight and train. He became a National Champion, and ultimately moved into an instructor position at Alliance AZO. Robot wrapped up his amateur career with another win last November as the main event for the Farang Fight League, graduated from Western Michigan University, and a few months later bought a one way ticket to Thailand. In a couple hours he will be making his Pro Debut! This will be the first time I wont be in his corner, but I know he is in great hands with Kru Chai. Proud of you man, now go do WORK!
