In 2010 I was lucky enough to go on a work trip to Japan for 10 days. It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life, apart from the fact I could only sleep for 3 hours a night. I only had one day off and on that day a great mate of mine Steve McGreevy took me to the Budokhan in Kyoto where there was an Aikido tournament going on. This is a video from the day where teenaged kids from all over Japan were competing for the national championships. I have never seen such respect, dedication or physical effort. It was 45 degrees and 90% humidity but that didnt stop these kids pushing themselves to their limits. Hall smelled a bit funky though!
