In 2010 when Krista and I were living in our duplex on Frankfort - TopicsExpress

In 2010 when Krista and I were living in our duplex on Frankfort Ave. (not 7th, 8th, or 9th) I was in a confrontation with two drunk belligerent youths at 2 am. They busted through our picket fence and started beating me. After some noise etc. my neighbor came running out of his home only to see me throw a wild, desperate hey-maker and clock the big guy beating on me. It connected, throwing him back out into the sidewalk (I was told, I dont remember that part). Then it was just me and the little guy face to chest and they both ran off. I broke my pinky that morning (I discovered later) and its still crooked to this day. Its important to share with all citizens of HB the problem that has been brought to the forefront for downtown residents isnt exclusive to 7th-9th streets. It disgusts me that MY TAX DOLLARS have contributed to a special interest group (HBDRA) to solve a wide spread problem, but only for a select group in the downtown area. Im actually happy for the residents of 7-9th streets as at least something is being attempted to remedy THEIR situation. Im appalled that other streets were entirely ignored to our/their detriment. Dean DiCarlo wants his lunch money back, I want to straighten my pinky finger again, and I want my residential parking district to solve my problems and the problems for my tenets. And I shouldnt have to do it on my own when the Down Town Task Force was created to help benefit ALL residents, of not only Downtown, but all of Huntington Beach. Am I pissed? Darn straight (or should I say crooked). Am I going to do something about it? You can take it to the bank!!!
