In 2oo8 when I was still working at a travel agency, I had a working mate who was on facebook. That time I havent joined facebook or any other site . This lady was dating a guy in the UK. They met when it remained two months for the guy to visit his parents in Nigeria. After many chats and phone calls, the guy arrived Nigeria. On the 5th day of his arrival, he came to Ibadan from Lagos and as arranged, the lady was his host. The guy spent two days and left for Lagos, promising the lady to come the following week. The said week came and pass but no sign of the guy. This guy wouldnt call or pick the ladies call. On the 3rd week, to the ladys suprise, she saw the guy on facebook. He has returned to Uk. She sent a message to him but the guy ignored it. It was at this point that the lady told the 4 of us that are in the office that day the whole story. Theyve planned many things together before the guy came, even to the extent that if they found each other comparatible, marriage would be the next thing. On carrying out research about this guy with the help of the other two co-workers, it was discovered that the guy was married. The lady felt so sad and unhappy. It took her weeks, if not months to get over it. The lady was a responsible and serious girl. She had believed so much in the guy. It was when this happened that the other ladies consoled her with different stories about how guys and men from abroad came to Nigeria, disguised as a responsible people just to cheat on ladies and women. It was 3 years after this that I joined social site because, I wasnt interested before. As we all know, it is one thing or experience that will push someone to do some things. I discovered that when I left the working place to work in another place, it was still the same story with these abroad guys and men. When I finally joined facebook and mobofree, I confirmed the accusation. (Ive left Mobofree for a long time now). There are different ways these people are operating. After adding and becoming their friend, they started scratching your inbox. Some will start with Do you care for a holiday abroad? Would you mind if I invite you over for sight seeing?. Are you interested in shoe, bag and clothe business so that I can fix you up?. I am a widower and I needed a life partner. I am divorced and I needed to remarry. I just needed someone in Nigeria so that I will have a stable woman whenever I came visiting. Thou many girls, ladies and women are covetous and they mostly fell into these peoples traps but, what about the serious and responsible ladies that are of marriagbale age ready to settle down?. Or the divorced or widow ready to re-marry? How do they want to filter the bad eggs among these men? On the other hand, what about the serious and responsible among the men either who truly have problems with their homes or widowers that are ready to settle down again? I remember all these stories when what happened to a friend of recent happened. That is another story entirely. But before I put up the story, will our abroad men for one day sit down and think twice? If I should decide to start mentioning names or, to start pointing some men that I have tried such a thing like this with me, no how I wont mention 25 names (Not an exaggeration). These men taught me how to block. I dont waste time in blocking them after I might have let them realize that I am not one of facebook lady fools. Men abroad, please retrace your steps. 9o out of the 1oo of you were doing it, so you have no mouth to fumble here. Afterall, I met my man on facebook and he lives abroad. He has been responsible and truthful since day one I met him and he never changes. Stop treating our ladies and women has trash. Not only those you came here to meet but, those your women you left at home to come and cheat here in Nigeic too. I implore you to respect women, if you ever believe that you came from them and you also want to be seeing your daughters been happy in the future. You can never plant a corn and reap pepper. No way!!!
