In 60+ years of life I have seen and learned a lot of things. I grew up in the projects raised by a single mom. I worked as a cashier in a grocery store, a postal worker, a factory worker, a photographic model, a dancer, a bartender, a stripper a RN and a travel agent. Plus the biggest job of all a mother of 3. I raised all of my children pretty much alone and without financial assistance except a brief assist from public assistance. None of me children have been criminals. My son said he was afraid for his life at my hands if he ever got arrested! My mother was clear from the start she was not a baby sitter. I had to rely on my 80 yr old aunt for that. I lived in NY, Florida, Europe, Las Vegas, Alaska and California. I worked 2 and 3 jobs to provide for my kids. I am not and was not ever an angel although my mother told me on her death bed in 1980 that I was too much of a goody two shoes! I even had a period of homelessness, which did not last long. This all taught me a lot and I would never change a thing. I like people and if and when I can I like to help people. What I dont understand and dont like is a mother who does not do everything she can to provide for her children. I dont understand a mom that does Not do all she can to maintain her job or do her best to get another one to provide for her kids. A mom that shows no pride in herself and just sits and stuffs her face with junk all day. A mom who does not get up with her children and feed them or create a regular routine. A mom that just sits on her ass and expects everyone else to do it for her but does not take advantage of opportunities provided her. I dont understand total ignorance and I certainly do not understand and can countenance a cry baby or whiner. A victim that is often used because they are so busy feeling sorry for them selves and they dont even understand their ignorance. Young women respect yourselves, your children and your lives! You can be anything you want in this world if you want it bad enough to work for it! I dont know maybe its just me? What do you think?
