In 86/87 people on Guam will remember that a young Airman Stewart E. Hughes committed murder and stood trial. He tried to pick up a girl on Tarague Beach. When turned down, he followed her and beat her with a coral rock. She was brain dead and kept alive for her parents to get to Guam and say their goodbyes. He was 19 and just arrived on Guam. He was sentenced to 30 years in Leavenworth without parole. He stopped coming up on the federal inmate lists a few years ago. I dont know if hes out or dead. Her name was Sheila and she was beautiful inside and out. She was our very dear friend and fellow Airman. We loved her. Shes wearing the red jersey.
