In Afghanistan I was privileged to have a young Scout as my gunner - TopicsExpress

In Afghanistan I was privileged to have a young Scout as my gunner in my vehicle. He was brave and resolute and quick to take action when necessary to protect our Patrols. We received a briefing on our revised Rules of Engagement one day and afterwards he confided to me that he was afraid to pull the trigger anymore because he was afraid he would go to jail for violating the now complex ROE. I looked at him and said the men need you, I need you to protect us with your Machine Gun , you just shoot when I tell you to shoot. I cant promise you that you wont burn down but I can promise you that if you do , look on the ground and there will be a pile of ashes where I burned first. Leadership, is the greatest Honor and Privilege a man can have. To stand before men and compel them through deed, action and example to believe in you, to trust in you and to follow you, knowingly, to their own death perhaps. Leadership does not call in sick, it does not take vacation and it does not make excuses for failure. Leadership never takes the easy wrong over the hard right, it never quits, it never surrenders , it never accepts defeat and Leadership never, ever leaves a fallen comrade. Leadership is firm but listens with empathy and compassion. Leadership offers opportunity and motivation. So someone please tell me why a crawfishing , limp noodle invertebrate piece of worm riddled shit , like John Boehnoer has been placed in a position of leading others? Why has this crybaby, son of a barkeep not been fired and replaced with a real man like Trey Gowdy ? What is his redeeming quality? Boehnoer, make like the cowardly Lion and go find your Courage. Move, get to fighting or get to running. You do not deserve to lead men. Disgrace of a man. file:///var/mobile/Applications/978D184B-CBE7-45DF-AADA-ED6A67A9DCDE/AmericanThinker.app/www/index.html#/home/1_103165/
