In An Eggshell: War™ Now, when many people hear the word military, they think of war, guns, jets, etc. But in reality, the military is a form of shaping one’s self into a better person. The military is a form of discipline. The United States military system, is one of the most advanced out there. Many people don’t think much about it when we go to war with other countries like Syria for instance. We are overseas and many people don’t take consideration of how the people in that particular country feels. America, as in our generation has not experienced war on our own soil. Now if we were to go to war in the United States, many of the non-combatant citizens would react with fear. The closest thing to war ever faced in our generation, was 9/11 which was an act of terror. And did you see how we acted towards that? Thousands of people died that day for no apparent reason at all. The most legible reason for the bombings were fights between Muslim nations and The U.S. Over the freedoms of religion. The death of a an Islamic radical, Osama bin Laden, did not decrease the amount of violence put on against non-islamic religions. In fact, it increased it. The Boston Marathon is another example of an act of terrorism. The two men that committed these acts of terror are Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, and his brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev. This Is Crazy. I only wish it was as easy for myself and millions of others that believe in peace to just ‘end’ violence. But as a violent world, the can be no such change unfortunately. We as an American society can only hope to improve and promote peace, sadly, as it cannot be spread worldwide, and if it can, lets start trying. Date: September 9th, 2013 By: Jordan C.
