In April of last year Dave and I sat down to have our quarterly vision brainstorm and since I was struggling with our marriage, lifestyle and momentum we decided to make a swift move in three ways by June 1st 2013 - 1. Move out of zone 4 in to the hustle and bustle of east London. 2. Get Dave a full time job in music (at the time he was full time at a charity and 1 day a week in music) 3. Adopt a dog to help prepare us for parenthood. By June 1st we had seen all of these dreams come to fruition and coincidentally my work life changed too as I was given the opportunity to work on Lauras project - a massive dream of mine since I first heard the demo of She. Our life had dramatically shifted over the course of 5 weeks and the 10 months that followed have been full of thankfulness, a series of mistakes (mine of course) and questioning (not a mistake). As I questioned marriage and what name to call the Spirit who has lived in me since I was 19, my husband and family have unconditionally accepted and loved me through it. Im thankful to be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel but Im also thankful for the many dark moments where I couldnt see where I was going but felt a deep well of peace within me that I call Spirit. As we approach April again and we sit down to reflect on the past year and where to go next, Im filled with thankfulness and a heart full of new dreams to dream. This song has carried me - Who would have thought that a room full of good looking, hipster Christians could sustain me for 10 months? Love you Dave Reed x
