In B. S. this morning well finish James 2: 14-26 (I guess we can give Easter Sunday a hall pass for interrupting our series). Heres the nuts and bolts of the lesson: youve passed the theology test (remember, even the demons passed the theology test), but for some reason you pass up homeless, hungry, and folks who havent had an aha moment with Jesus. You cannot turn Christianity into a club (a building, an hour a week, a denominational theology). Further, you cannot neglect the hurts of people and not be bothered by it. You say you have found the gate. Today this chapter of James is gonna talk to us about the road/way we are traveling. You nailed (no pun intended) the orthodoxy. Today, James wants to remind us about our orthopraxy. You didnt know I knew big words, huh?
