In Bham with a Dad... My report--hes still in the trauma unit at UAB but has stepped down to a different room now that hes off the heart monitor. Mom left about 2:00 saying hed probably sleep the whole time. Nope! Hes flopped like a fish...well, not exactly flopped but is extremely restless. Tried to get me to help pull on his good arm to sit up (you know, the one with the IV, blood pressure & oxygen monitors, and bruises galore). Tried to tell me how to hook up his breathing treatment (which the respiratory therapist handles). Im sure his back & neck hurt, but I cant imagine the pain in that wrist. Ugh. And he is adamant that he did not fall but was knocked off the ladder by the limb! Hes still having some periods of talking a bit Looloo and is singing the praises of Lacey, his RN.
