In Celebration of the Wedding of Nick and Summer: This was shared on the Event page, but in case you have not linked in yet, this is posted to our walls for you to enjoy! **************** Our Bride and Groom selected a fantastic song to walk down the aisle to. The rendition is not only beautifully performed, but full of deep meaning. Summer and Nick took the time during their busy pre-wedding week to share with us what this song means to them. The lyrics, video and Summer and Nicks own words are posted below. Read and Enjoy! ~Sky ****Hallelujah*** Ive heard there was a secret chord That David played, and it pleased the Lord But you dont really care for music, do you? It goes like this The fourth, the fifth The minor fall, the major lift The baffled king composing Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Your faith was strong but you needed proof You saw her bathing on the roof Her beauty in the moonlight overthrew you She tied you To a kitchen chair She broke your throne, she cut your hair And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Baby Ive been here before I know this room, Ive walked this floor I used to live alone before I knew you Ive seen your flag on the marble arch love is not a victory march Its a cold and its a broken hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah I did my best it wasnt much I couldnt feel so I tried to touch Ive told the truth I didnt come to fool you But even though it all went wrong Ill stand before the Lord of Song With nothing on my tounge but Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah What this song means to the Bride and Groom: 1st verse ~ To many King David was perfect ~ But he was confused and made mistakes like all of us. And God loved him still. ~Summer & Nick 2nd Verse ~ I found Summer to be beautiful inside and out. I wanted to have a loving, God centered relationship. Ide not had that before, and Summer wouldnt have me any other way. My bride wanted a God centerd life also. Thus love of God, Love of Summer humbled me. ~Nick We both had a lot of growing to do. We all have our crucibles. He & I were burnt to ashes. We both knew what we didnt want. We over time cognitively and spiritually have prepared for an eternity together. ~Summer 3rd Verse We have both been married before. We know that marriage is not all sunshine and butterflies, but that you praise God for the hard times too. ~Summer and Nick 4th Verse We did OUR best, it wasnt much, I couldnt feel so I tried to touch I was in a bad place when we became close. The loss of my Father from this plain combined with divorce left me stuck in a rut & numb. She stood by me supporting me loving me. Summer gave me hope for happiness. Then I messed it up. ~Nick I too was was reeling... from a bad marriage and worse childhood. Nick was my friend before we ever became close. He became my protector, my confidant. I knew that he was a hot mess...but so was I. I could feel his aching soul and his goodness. I fell in love. His Aunt asked me if I understood where he was at in his life. She also told me that it might not work out. My response, Yes, but hes such a good man. Hes worth the gamble We were apart for a while..but continued to be friends. God was working in both our lives. Now we come as one ...humbled we stand before God. Singing HIS praises for the roads that have blessed us with each other! ~Summer Hallelujah, Hallelujah ************************************ Friends and Family, I would personally like to thank you all for joining together to celebrate the love that Nick and Summer share. Our lives will always be filled with ups and downs, triumphs as well as disappointments or mistakes, but what is most important in life is what fills our hearts and souls. Sincerity, generosity, and love should always be recognized and celebrated. Love is not easily found, its often not found right away. On this Earth we often have to struggle before a victory, sacrifice before salvation. We all learn that the harder path usually takes us to the right destination. We have to learn to see God on that path regardless of the bumps in the road, our focus on Faith and what is virtuous, is how we find our way home. Each of us may not know each other well or at all, but what we all know together is that everyone deserves true love and emotional sanctuary, we all know together we could not want something more than that for the Bride and Groom. From near and far, thank you for lifting up this couple and surrounding them in love while they begin their next chapter together as husband and wife. ~Sky https://youtube/watch?v=9VdwDiedS0Y
