In December 1981, the Missouri Division of Health designated St. Anthony’s a Level II Trauma Center, the only trauma center serving South County and Jefferson County. This means at all times we have the resources and properly trained physicians, surgeons and nurses with the experience needed to manage the care of severely injured patients. It also means we can accept patients brought to us by helicopter. These #ThrowbackThursday photos show our helicopter landing area before we built our current helipad. #tbt
