In Europe, moderate Muslims are attacking Christians. This I find very confusing because I found a video that I thought to be very creditable. It showed a relatively large number of moderates who refute the fanaticism of ISIS; I think they would compare to Catholics who use birth control while still not refuting the basic belief of the Catholic Church. By and large they came here to get away from the tight control of their spiritual lives in their native countries. Otherwise, they lead a life that does not interfere with people who have been here their whole lives. Then I get confused. Some moderate Muslims seem non-threatening because they live a live and let live attitude. We have to bear in mind, however, that it is all right for a Muslim to lie to a non-muslim if it is to the advantage of the Muslim. There are some who may not verbally go along with ISIS, yet are still in the mode of taking over, although more quietly. CAIR fits in this category that I do not trust because I have seen them in action, trying to live as they would in their native country, expecting our full cooperation, insisting on Sharia law, and other concessions from us. What we have seen in Europe, insisting restaurants change their menus to accommodate them, despite what the natives want. Insisting on Burqus and head and facial scarves in situations that pose a possible danger to the native people. In food stores, employees not being expected to handle food that is banned in their religion. Taxi drivers who will not transport service dogs. This is a national law, and should be honored by everyone in this country PERIOD. Accommodation of Islam should not inconvenience us unduly. I think Americans are willing to make people feel welcome and comfortable, but do not want to accept our citizens being forced to accept elements of another religion that are completely foreign to us and at times interfere with our own religious beliefs and practices.
