In February of 2011, I decided to make a special barbie princess cake for our friends daughter, and a guitar cake for our praise and worship leader. I had never done ANYTHING like this before but decided to try my best at it. (I had never even taken one cake decorating class). I realized then that I love making and creating cake designs. Its alot of work and sometimes I stay up all night working on cakes, but it is so worth it in the end. I am thankful to the Lord for the talents Hes placed in me...I couldnt do any of it without Him. I am also thankful for my husband for putting up with me and giving up his time with me...its a real sacrifice at times. I really appreciate him-he is such a blessing to me. Making cakes is an exciting journey that is starting later in life but Gods timing is always perfect. Im thrilled to share that since February of 2011, Ive made 99 cakes/cupcakes for friends/family/friends of friends. I never would have thought when I made those 1st two cakes that it would have turned into anything at all. Thank you all for your support and encouragement during this process. And for all those that have received cakes from me, Thank You! And yes, Im still going to make cakes...(Lord willing) :) Cakin on down the road! :)
