In Goa almost every family had or still have a bread earner abroad. This has also fuelled the desire to have more and better than what the soil can provide. Sometimes it is sad to note that it is our own people who speak low of our own place and desire to be elsewhere and plan futures away from their motherland. these people will then tell grandparents tales that they are from Goa and that they own a house there etc etc. only when these children come they will find that all is gone and no one even recalls a Pedru ever living there but some basappa. Goans, please get up from your sleep!
