In Isaiah we are told, “Cease to do evil, learn to do good.” - TopicsExpress

In Isaiah we are told, “Cease to do evil, learn to do good.” One of the best ways to learn is by doing. To learn to do good, we should begin to practice doing good in whatever way that we have the opportunity. There is an obvious spiritual benefit to doing good, and not evil. Here it is from 1 Peter 3, “For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” If we want our prayers to be answered we must cease from evil and go about doing good just as Jesus did. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want the “face of the Lord” to be “against” me! - Ed Wrather (Do Good 04.30.14 Read devotional at burningbush click on Devotional of the Day link.)
