In January Marvel Comics will begin their run of Star Wars comics replacing the excellent Dark Horse Expanded Universe line of stories. Ive no idea how their comics will tie in to the new novels or movies but no doubt they will. According to this article they are planning on selling over a million copies of the 1st issue. It looks like theyll do this with a huge amount of variable covers. I dont know how many therell be but theres lots. An overkill amount! If Brian Woods Star Wars #1 only sold 100,000 copies I cant see them reaching this target, especially since Del Reys new line of novels is selling so dismally compared to the EU sales. comicbook/2014/12/05/marvels-star-wars-1-to-sell-over-1-000-000-copies/
