In July 2014 this youngster, Jack Blowers, was fined by a court for taking a Necknominate online challenge which meant he was filmed drinking a live goldfish. It was a ridiculous prank that cost him £800 in fines and costs after a prosecution was brought by the RSPCA. The court heard: It is simply not acceptable to treat an animal in this callous way, purely for amusement. Fast forward to September 2014 and the weeks fishing headlines that include a record shattering 977lb match haul. It was made up of 220 carp landed at the rate of one every 100 seconds. The haul was so immense a total of 12 keepnets were needed to retain the fish. Food for thought me thinks...
