In May I was fortunate enough to attend the wedding of my nephew - TopicsExpress

In May I was fortunate enough to attend the wedding of my nephew Zach. In June I was fortunate enough to attend the elementary graduation of my son Dylan and the High School graduation of my son Nik. All three brought me much joy but at the same time left me with an empty feeling for my Mom was not doing well at the time and she was not able to attend any of those events. She, of course, passed away last month. Tonight I was fortunate enough to attend the wedding of my cousin Cindys son Matthew. Rosanna and I were there for more than 5 hours and I would have to say with all that went on with my Mom during this year this had to be the best five hours that I have had all year. I not only got to see a new relationship begin in holy matrimony but Rosanna and I got a chance for some time together as well. The two of us never really had a song we could call ours but after tonight I think I know what it is. As I was headed back to our table near the end of the night I heard the DJ say he was about to play the last slow song of the night. It happened to be Bless The Broken Road by Rascal Flatts. As soon as I got to the table I reached out my hand to Rosanna and we headed to the dance floor. At the end of the night we saw Matthew and Carey off on their way to start their life together as one. We happened to pass their limo in the parking lot on the way out and I honked my horn over and over and over and I saw in the rear view mirror the limo began to move again and leave Hunting Hills. I will cherish this night, it will leave a special place in my heart, it will forever help the healing I need from all that has happened this year with my Mom. Life goes on. God bless Matthew and Carey and may they have a long and forever lasting marriage. And I thank them, so much, for the unknowing healing they gave to me tonight.
