In Memory of Allyssa Stop the Bullying Rally! Tomorrow at Wizards in Ayden. The Rally begins at Noon! I was spending time in prayer to discern what words I could use, and what message I could deliver that would strengthen and inspire those who attend this Rally. After prayer, I picked up my phone to check my emails. I had received an email from David Johnson, an Ayden Middle School student, with a very important message! It was a plea...a pledge to stop bullying. After reading his pledge, I knew that these were the words that would strengthen and inspire everyone to unite. I am very excited to announce that David Johnson will be opening tomorrows Rally with his inspirational pledge! As I will probably not have an opportunity to speak tomorrow I would like to share this message with you.... Faithbook: Bullying is a form of hate. And like all acts of hate, it separates us from each other. Jesus tells us that the greatest commandments are to love God and love each other. To love unconditionally, the way that Jesus loved us. He loved us enough to die for us. There is no greater love than that! He is asking us to give to others the same love that was given to us. A love without boundries or barriers, a love without question or limitations. A love that unites us as one! Jesus love was NOT a passive love, but a love shown through His actions. Jesus went out into the world, seeking out the weak, the cast outs, those that the world had thrown away. He stood up of truth and justice. He reached out to those in need. In order for us to love as Jesus loved, we must act. Love others when they seem unlovable. Give to those in need, even if we dont have much to give. SEE the struggles and burdens of others as if they are our own. To love like Jesus, we must stand up against acts of hate and injustice. We must put our love into action!
